A compact, residential project with a focus on 'Whimsy'. The space consisted of three main areas: the Right of Way Planting, the North Yard, and the Front Yard.

We worked with the homeowner to narrow down a preferred concept and build on a preliminary vision of ‘whimsy’. Our solution was to focus on the approach to the house with something that resonated with the owner. The steel ribbons define planting typology zones and also highlights seasonal change as it appears and disappears each year behind vegetation.

The North Yard takes advantage of its constant shade to create a softer, green corridor that serves as patio, garden, and pathway.
