The main vehicular entryway to this business park in the Denver Tech Center needed an upgrade after 30 years of overgrowth. The plan thinned the mature Austrian Pine canopy to permit a viable understory and prevent the tree die-off that had increased in the last couple years due to over-competition.

With the increased light and resources, an updated planting plan embraces the new spaces while still accommodating the somewhat hostile understory of pine needles. The design relies on tiers of seasonal planting arranged in waves to accentuate the acceleration of cars as they enter the park.
